Name
Self-Manufacturing for Emerging Brands: The Journey of Every Body Eat
Date & Time
Wednesday, November 6, 2024, 12:30 PM - 1:00 PM
Description

Every Body Eat® was co-founded by Trish Thomas and Nichole Wilson to solve the #1 problem for the more than 65% of US families with special diets – delicious food they can enjoy, together. Four years later, they can’t keep up with demand as 80% of US consumers are focused on “clean” eating and label reading.   Because their supply chain, and production facility, have to be free from the top 14 allergens and corn. The Every Body Eat® team has had to make the jump to three different facilities going from “one cookie sheet at a time” to semi-automated production in four years.   During this session, Thomas, also a Lecturer on Entrepreneurship at Northwestern University, will delve into the origins of Every Body Eat, highlighting the initial inspiration and the challenges faced trying to scale production while building a brand and raising the capital to do it. If you are an emerging brand who is considering self-manufacturing, or wants to learn best practices to scale your current operations, this session is for you!
